This website advocates for North American and Canadian Indigenous initiatives, rights, and ways of being. It draws from an undergraduate course titled: Stolen Lives: The Indian Boarding School. Our work is driven by a deep commitment to historical truth, cultural sensitivity, and a desire to contribute to meaningful change by allying with Indigenous communities, and acquiring and sharing new knowledge. We explore complex subjects including Indigenous child displacement and historical trauma by employing archival and arts-based research methods and engaging with storytelling in a variety of oral and artistic expressions and forms.
